Privacy Policy
TextSong turns text you provide into short songs. This policy explains what we handle to make that work, in plain language.
What we collect
- The text you submit. When you create a song, the text you paste or share (plus your chosen song length and any optional style settings) is sent to our servers so a song can be generated from it. That's the purpose — the words become the lyrics.
- Nothing else. TextSong has no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile. We don't collect your name, contacts, precise location, or message history. The app only ever sees text you explicitly paste or share into it.
How generation works
Your text is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, which passes it to an AI music generation provider to render the audio. The text is processed to create your song and is not used by us to build profiles or train models. The finished audio file is delivered back to your device.
Where your songs live
Generated songs are stored on your device, in the app's own storage. Deleting a song in the app deletes the audio file from your device. Sharing a song is always your action, through the standard iOS share sheet.
Analytics and advertising
The app currently contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. The app reports Apple's privacy-preserving attribution signals (SKAdNetwork / AdAttributionKit), which are anonymous by design and contain no identifiers, no text content, and nothing about you — only aggregate campaign conversion values processed by Apple. If we add analytics or an ATT tracking prompt in a future version, this policy will be updated first and iOS will ask for your permission where required.
Data retention
We do not maintain user accounts or long-term server-side storage of your texts. Generated audio files are hosted transiently by our infrastructure providers for delivery to your device and expire from those systems in the normal course of operation.
Children
TextSong is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
